Ground penetrating radar is a highly technical and precise system. GPRS ensures that our team members achieve the highest degree of competency in this field through our robust training process, mentoring system, and ongoing support structure. Education is a continual process, and one we take very seriously. GPRS recently developed and implemented subsurface investigation methodology (SIM)- a comprehensive standard for our scanning processes. Our team members are required to undergo our SIM training program to ensure their competence in terms of equipment, field knowledge, and providing the best possible results in each given situation. Our investment in training and mentorship programs enables us to provide the best quality service, every time.
While our Project Managers often perform jobs individually, it is not without the backing of the entire GPRS team behind them. A collaborative mindset is encouraged through our training program and team leadership. Each team member works with a group of qualified GPRS Project Managers led by a seasoned Area Manager. This structure ensures that all team members receive critical knowledge and support from each other.
Dedication to Safety
GPRS puts safety first in everything we do. We understand the inherent risk in the work we do, and take all possible steps to create a safe environment for our employees, our customers, and our community. Training is a key part of mitigating risk- team members are required to undergo OSHA training as a part of their initial two month training program. Hazard training, toolbox talks, and site-specific safety planning are just a few of the other ways safety is integrated into our work at GPRS.
Our system goes beyond “one and done.” In addition to the initial onboard training each team member receives at our world-class training facility, ongoing field mentorship and advanced training classes are provided to ensure that everyone is up to date on the latest in GPR methods and technology. We constantly work not only to improve our employee’s knowledge and technique, but to provide them with the most effective tools and equipment so that they can perform their best work.
Problem Solving Mindset
Each project is a “puzzle” in which subsurface objects must be correctly and efficiently identified. Our training programs help to develop and foster this analytical mindset, creating team members highly adept at solving the mysteries of which subsurface materials exist on each project.
