OSHA-certified safety training and a thorough education on our company’s safety policies, practices and procedures is an integral part of our new hire orientation program. Through extensive hands-on training, we provide our employees with the knowledge, tools and resources necessary to safely perform each task.

We are firm believers in continuous safety education for all our employees. Our ongoing commitment to the health and safety includes the following safety practices:
- OSHA 10-Hour Outreach - completed by every project manager
- OSHA 30 – completed by many of our area managers
- HAZWOPER 40 Hour - completed by many of our project managers nationwide
- Hazard recognition and safety training - provided monthly for all employees
- Toolbox talks
- Near miss/incident reporting and investigations – safety stand downs
- Site specific safety planning
- Pre-task planning and job hazard review for every project
- New hire safety orientation and training
- Safety manual consistently reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with the most rigorous construction standards

GPRS believes that our people are the key difference in producing our success. We invest significant energy into training, coaching, and developing our Team Members. Each field Team Member is led through a 2-month training/mentorship process, inclusive of a two-week classroom intensive. GPRS Project Managers have the goal of always looking to improve their abilities with the various equipment we use. They are tasked with answering the critical questions posed by our customers as to what lies below the surface and they recognize that the learning curve never stops.
GPRS follows the strict guidelines set in place by SIM. SIM stands for Subsurface Investigation Methodology. SIM is a standard operating procedure comprised of two specifications created specifically for subsurface investigations - one for underground utility locating and one for concrete scanning.
