Locate two time capsules on the grounds of an elementary school
PROBLEM
- Local legend said there were time capsules buries on the school grounds, but there was no concrete evidence of their existence or location
- The school was set to be demolished and officials wanted to locate the time capsules before demo began
- School was in session and classes could not be interrupted by the investigation
Solution
- GPRS’ SIM-certified Project Managers utilized ground penetrating radar (GPR) to investigate the two, 250-300 s.f. areas in which officials believed the time capsules could be located
- The Project Managers located areas where ground disturbance had occurred, and marked these spots with flags and spray paint
- The investigation did not disrupt classes or damage the school grounds
