Existing Conditions Highlighted in Bloomberg’s AIA25 Recap

Existing Conditions, a GPRS company, was recently featured in Bloomberg’s coverage of the 2025 AIA Conference on Architecture & Design in Boston. The article, titled As American Architects Gather in Boston, Retrofits Are All the Rage, not only referenced our firm by name but also included imagery of two notable projects we contributed to: 31 Milk Street and the Frick Collection.

The conference showed a growing industry emphasis on retrofits and adaptive reuse. These themes took over discussions among architects, engineers, and fellow industry professionals seeking sustainable, cost-effective ways to improve existing structures. At the conference, our team demonstrated how our advanced 3D laser scanning and detailed as-built documentation help make these projects possible.

By delivering accurate spatial data, our services enable design teams to approach renovation and reuse projects with confidence.

The AIA25 event reaffirmed the architectural community’s commitment to evolving the built environment through innovation and sustainability. As a GPRS company, Existing Conditions was proud to contribute to this dialogue and showcase how our 3D BIM models and as-built documentation workflows support the industry’s shift toward adaptive reuse.

We extend our appreciation to all who visited our booth. We look forward to continuing the conversation at the 2026 AIA Conference on Architecture & Design in San Diego, California!
