The American Land Title Association (ALTA) and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) revised the Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys.
When Did This Go Into Effect?
The new standards went into effect on February 23, 2021, and supersede the existing standards introduced in 2016.
How Does This Impact You?
Alongside the public utility locating report you provide, you should also now include one of the two following choices:
- Plans and/or reports provided by the client
- Markings coordinated by the surveyor pursuant to a private utility locate request
