Task

Inspect and map five storm sewer laterals and one mainline in preparation for the installation of new roof drains

PROBLEM

The client needed to know the current conditions of the property’s underground laterals and mainlines to properly install roof drains and tie them into the existing pipes

Solution

  • GPRS Project Managers utilized the ROVVER X SAT II Lateral Launch Camera to inspect the sewer lines and mainline
  • The mainline had no apparent defects or blockages
  • Our investigation revealed that there were only four laterals instead of the five shown on the client's records and they were all blocked by debris from the mainline

Benefits

  • The client can now access & securely share their updated sewer system records via SiteMap
  • GPRS’ findings & reporting gave the client the ability to plan repairs to remedy the situation
  • Without the results from GPRS, inaccurate plans and lateral blockages would have caused the new roof drains to back up, resulting in further problems for the client
