Task

Scan concrete slabs for any reinforcements

PROBLEM

  • AT&T stadium needed to expand the length of the stadium’s field area to accommodate the size of a professional soccer field
  • To do this, they had to anchor into the concrete slabs and remove some of the stadium’s seating areas
  • They needed to know where any rebar or pretension cables were so they could anchor into the concrete and not put their workers at risk

Solution

  • GPRS Project Managers used ground penetrating radar (GPR) to locate and document their findings across 15 prefab panels
  • The Project Managers marked their findings with red markers and presented the results to the client

Benefits

  • With the markings on the ground and theirfindings represented in the Job Summary Report (JSR), the client can anchorinto the concrete with confidence and keep the project on the right track (orturf) so they can avoid any rework or damages
