Ground Penetrating Radar Used to Locate Underground Gas Line - Phoenix, Arizona

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of Arizona was contacted by an out of state contractor to locate two gas lines over a distance of six miles. The purpose of the locate was to assist in the contractor in creating an accurate map for future reference. Using ground penetrating radar technologies (GPR) and Radio detection, the gas lines were easily located in several locations over the six-mile length. Once each section was located it was then plotted with a Trimble GPS unit and the data was sent, along with a report of the finding, to the client. These findings, along with comprehensive data reports and thorough GPS coordinates laid over aerial maps were additional services offered by Ground Penetrating Radar Systems. This allowed the client to save time and money by having one company, GPRS, conduct the scanning and data reporting in a streamlined service. This not only saved time but also considerable expense to the client.
