GPRS locates utilities in Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio.
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was recently hired to scan for utilities in Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio. The scope of work was to scan a 50’x150’ area for utilities in advance of an additional installation. With the utilization of GPR technology multiple fiber communication lines were located prior to excavation. As these lines were plastic without tracer wires, GPR was the best way these lines could have been located. GPRS was also able to locate a water line in the area that the client was unaware of. By having the area scanned beforehand, the client avoided expensive and timely repairs. GPRS was also able to confirm that the electric main and gas mains were outside of the scanned area. GPRS, Inc. was able to complete the job in a timely manner to mark all utilities so that the project could stay on time. GPR is an accurate and effective way of locating underground utilities, underground storage tanks, and near-surface voids.
