Video Pipe Inspection (CCTV) is a service used to inspect underground water sewer and lateral pipelines, VPI is a great tool for investigating cross-bores, structural faults and damages, and lateral line inspection.

With new build construction and renovation project, the likelihood of needing to cut or core concrete is high. There is an inherent risk of striking rebar, conduits, and post tension cables during the cutting or coring process. If a strict occurs, repair costs begin to add up, delays creep into your schedule and it creates a safety hazard for your employees.

The goal of the GPRS Deliverables Department is to deliver clear and understandable findings with each of our outputs from field markings to field sketches, KMZ files, or CAD drawings that provide 2D site plans or even 3D CAD models. In addition, upon the completion of every project, our customers receive a job summary that includes job scope information, site photos, description of site conditions, equipment used, and notes from the project.

GPRS conducted a 4-way sweep for a large pipeline company in the Midwest. They desired to erect a new facility but needed to know of any existing utilities before breaking ground. GPRS found all utilities on record, and the contractor proceeded without incident.

Locating Conduits Prior To Saw Cutting

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) of Kansas City was called to scan an area where the client was going to cut the slab at a local school in Kansas City. The client was saw cutting the slab to install new plumbing and electrical and was concerned with striking conduits in the area. GPRS was able to mark multiple conduits in the slab and directly below which could have resulted in costly repairs or injuries. Thanks to the work performed by GPRS the client was able to perform his work with no issues.

Gas Pipelines Located Using Ground Penetrating Radar

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Oklahoma works extensively with the Oil & Gas Industry. Prior to the installation of a new pipeline, Brandon Campos of GPRS Texas was contacted to locate abandoned pipelines within the proposed excavation path in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Multiple lines were located using Ground Penetrating Radar and the Radio Detection Device. Since GPR shows data in real time, the results were communicated to the customer with the location and depths shown using pin flags & wooden stakes. GPRS provides knowledge of what lies beneath the surface. Using GPRS reduces risk and cost, promotes a safe work environment, and provides non-destructive testing by locating materials such as concrete, plastic, metal, steel, and pavement.
