Video Pipe Inspection (CCTV) is a service used to inspect underground water sewer and lateral pipelines, VPI is a great tool for investigating cross-bores, structural faults and damages, and lateral line inspection.
With new build construction and renovation project, the likelihood of needing to cut or core concrete is high. There is an inherent risk of striking rebar, conduits, and post tension cables during the cutting or coring process. If a strict occurs, repair costs begin to add up, delays creep into your schedule and it creates a safety hazard for your employees.
The goal of the GPRS Deliverables Department is to deliver clear and understandable findings with each of our outputs from field markings to field sketches, KMZ files, or CAD drawings that provide 2D site plans or even 3D CAD models. Ground Penetrating Radar Used At Kirtland AFB – New Mexico
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of New Mexico recently assisted Synergy Systems Construction of Merriam, Kansas on a project in New Mexico. The Kirtland AFB Clinic in the Albuquerque area was undergoing renovations that required coring of the concrete slab in several locations. Traditional concrete x-ray of the floor slab was not possible with the Clinic being an active hospital as well as an active job site. Radiation is not emitted during concrete radar scan.
Private Utility Locating – New Mexico
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of New Mexico recently visited a church parking lot to identify any underground utilities in the area prior to excavation for a new building. Klinger Constructors wanted to ensure that there would be no delays in construction due to severed utilities. The project manager on site was able to scan the proposed building area and identify any dangers in below the surface and map those dangers on the surface of the asphalt with precise depths. This allowed the project to proceed on schedule and without injuries due to damaged utilities.
GPRS Used To Locate Post Tension In A Residence
Ground Penetrating Radar is ideal on a busy construction site as well as a place of occupancy. GPR does not require evacuation of the area as does traditional x-ray concrete imaging. GPR emits no radiation and is completely safe to be around. Traditional x-ray is mostly done after hours; GPR can be done during normal business hours. All data findings are marked directly on the surface at the customer’s request for the easiest interpretation of the scanning provided, with GPR there is no wait for developing films as with traditional x-ray. Only one side of the slab is needed for scanning so time and resources are much more ideal for tight schedules of projects. Ground Penetrating Radar is the new way to x-ray!
