Robins and Morton was renovating a linear accelerator room at Florida Hospital Flager Country location.  Part of the scope of work was to saw cut a trench line for running new electrical conduits.  The hospital was active and open on all sides of the project and therefore they needed to ensure there was no down time following a conduit strike or utility hit.  They also need to ensure that the locating/testing method used to determine the location of the conduits and utilities would not affect hospital activities.  In other words, they hospital needed the project to be conducted without their operations being affected.

Robins and Morton contacted GPRS and contracted them to survey the trench line with ground penetrating radar.  Utility and conduit locating is a common services provided by GPRS and they were more than happy to oblige.  Chris Moore with GPRS mobilized to the site and performed the survey during normal business hours as there is zero health risk with ground penetrating radar.  Chris surveyed a trench that was roughly 30’ long and 2’ wide.  The survey was completed in less than two hours and all of the conduits and utilities found were marked on the surface.  Additionally, GPRS was able to provide a depth demarcation to the top of each object found.  This was extremely beneficial for Robins and Morton as they could then be certain what depth to set the saw blade for the concrete cutting.

Overall, Robins and Morton was extremely satisfied with the service provided by GPRS.

Please note, the pictures below show Chris during the actual survey process.
