When Frucon needed to locate conduit inside a concrete slab at the Arlington Waste Water Treatment Plant they contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Virginia. Frucon had to core 15 ten inch holes to place new drain pipes near the treatment tanks. Their main concern was that they did not want to strike the conduit for the safety of their workers and secondly they did not want to cause any disruption to the plants operation.
GPRS, Inc. Regional Director, Jamey Harmon, was able to respond to the site the next day and mark out the areas where Frucon wanted to place their holes. Several conduit was found to be running through the areas that needed to be cored. Ground Penetrating Radar then was able to mark out larger areas to ensure that Frucon would have a clear area to place these pipes without an worry of hitting conduit in the process.
