Cranbrook Schools

Cranbrook Schools in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan is currently undergoing a 3-year IT infrastructure upgrade to over 40 of its buildings. Maryland Electric out of Clinton Township, Michigan was awarded Phase 1 of the project.

Foreman Dan Van Hemm recently called out technician John Kessinger from GPRS Michigan to check several locations that he needed to core drill through the concrete floors and walls. His primary concern was to identify if embedded electrical conduits were in the areas of the core drilling.

It didn’t take long for Dan to realize the benefits of using GPRS. The very first location that was checked had two live electrical conduits in the path of the cores he wanted to drill. Technician John Kessinger marked out on the concrete surface the exact location of the conduits so that the hole penetrations could be moved accordingly.

It is typical for GPRS to check several feet around each hole within just a few minutes. GPRS continues to keep an excellent track record of detecting electrical conduits in concrete slabs.

You can contact John Kessinger – Regional Director for Michigan at 734-377-4551 or by email at john.kessinger@gp-radar.com.
