Waste Water Treatment Plant

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Kansas City assisted our GPRS Omaha office at the waste water treatment plant in Grand Island, NE in determining the location of reinforcement at the beams where the bearing housings were mounted. New bearing housings were being installed and they needed to be custom made to avoid hitting any reinforcement within the beam. The technician was able to determine the location of reinforcement within the beam.

GPR is a great tool to locate reinforcement and determine reinforcement depth within concrete beams, walls, and slabs. Non-destructive testing is a great way for facilities to understand what is within the slab and determine the best way to approach their goal.
