Surveying For Underground Utilities
and UST in Chicago, Illinois
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was contacted by AEI Consultants to help them out on their phase II assessment of a property in East Chicago, IL. There were two different objectives for this project. The first was to verify the existence of any remaining underground storage tanks (UST’s) located on the property. The second objective was to clear 12 different areas from all underground utilities or other obstructions prior to boring for soil samples. There were 6 soil borings on the inside the building and 6 borings located outside of the building. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was able to clear all areas and the project was a complete success!
