The Colorado chapter of Ground Penetrating Radar Systems recently performed a sub-surface void survey at a facility in Boulder, Colorado. Personnel in the facility had noticed vibrations when equipment was rolled across the surface and requested further investigation. GPR technology was used to map the areas that contained air pockets beneath the concrete slab.
The technicians on site, Kurt Schamberger and Jason Schaff, were able to mark out 4 areas of concern directly onto the surface.
Ground penetrating radar is a great tool to locate voids below slab on grade concrete in Denver and Boulder, Colorado.
To schedule a survey for locating air voids below concrete slabs, roads or any other surface please contact GPRS of Denver at 303.945.5415 or jason.schaff@gp-radar.com.
