Seismic Wire Located in Office
Building in South Jordan, Utah

Seismic Wire Located in Office Building in South Jordan, UtahSeveral buildings in the western states have seismic wire to help support buildings in the event of an earthquake. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Salt Lake City was contracted to locate these wires in an office building in South Jordan, Utah. The contractor on site needed to core drill through the concrete to run electrical conduit.

The technician on site was able to map all the seismic wire in the area directly on the surface of the concrete as the scanning was in progress. This allowed the contractor to know exactly where to drill in a short period of time. GPR is a great way to locate any dangers that may exist within or below the concrete in question. It also does not emit any radiation or have any health risk making it ideal to operate on active jobsites.  For more information about reinforcement locating in Utah contact your local technician by e-mail at tony.eich@gp-radar.com or by phone at 801-599-2115. GPRS of Salt Lake City can mobilize to any nearby state typically within 24 hours. GPRS of SLC has visited areas such as Provo, Saratoga Springs and the East Benches. GPRS of Boise has traveled to Twin Falls, McCall and Coeur d’ Alene.
