 While excavating for a new sanitary line in Arlington, Va. They came across a concrete beam over 30 feet beneath the surface. GPRS, Inc. was contacted to check the concrete and see if there was any pipes within the concrete and to determine the thickness of the concrete beam. A crane was used to get our equipment into place and Regional Director Jamey Harmon was able to scan the concrete and located a single pipe encased within the concrete. This pipe was mapped out onto the surface with the depth to the top of the pipe. Using GPR in this situation allowed the company to discover what was within the concrete and cut down on delaying their work.
