Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Charlotte, North Carolina was requested on site at a new office building in the Ballantyne Corporate Plaza. The building construction consisted of 2 cast in place concrete slabs. Each of these concrete slabs were to be core drilled to allow for additional plumbing and electrical lines to be placed in the slab. In order to make these penetrations without damaging the reinforcing or conduit which was already in the slab, GPRS marked all of the rebar and conduit directly on the slab prior to the concrete core drilling taking place.

Ground Penetrating Radar is an ideal solution for scanning concrete to identify obstructions on new construction projects. GPRS was able to complete several locations in less than 1 day without causing interruption anywhere on the project. GPR is a fast and safe way to ‘x-ray’ through concrete.
