Rebar Mapping using GPR in Hastings, Nebraska

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of Omaha, NE was recently contacted by KC Engineering to perform a gpr survey at the Garvey Elevator Facility in Hastings, Nebraska. GPRS was hired to x-ray the concrete using concrete imaging to determine the layout of the reinforcement within the walls. The engineer was trying to determine future plans for reinforcing the walls after holes were cut install new ventilation systems.

This picture shows Regional Manager Kurt Schamberger laying out the rebar pattern directly on the surface. Results of the scan were plotted directly on the surface and communicated directly to the engineer on site.
