Post Tension Cables Non Destructively Locating

Colorado Fire Sprinkler of Pueblo, CO recently contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Colorado Springs to perform a scan for post-tensioning at the Sunny Rest Healthcare Facility. A concrete core needed to be done after the floor was already poured and the contractor needed to locate the post tension tendons prior to any cutting or coring.

GPRS of Colorado Springs was able to mobilize to the site and map the location of all rebar and PT Strands in the future coring area. Data is marked on the surface of the concrete to the contractor is able to make an educated decision on where to core after the GPR technician has left the site. This particular job site was able to stay active during the concrete imaging in Colorado because GPR does not emit any sort of radiation during the process.
