Post Tension Cable Locate
Digital concrete imaging is a quick and easy way to locate post tension cables in concrete prior to saw cutting or core drilling. The process is extremely fast due to its live feed system, which means the targets are mapped out on the surface of the concrete as they are located in real time. Concrete radar also does not emit any radiation like traditional x-ray so data can be collected on an active job site. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Minnesota was recently called out to Eden Prairie, Minnesota to investigate a concrete slab that had Post Tension Cables for City View Electric. City View Electric had to drill holes through the slab to bring up some utilities and needed to avoid cutting the Post tension cables. The technician on site was able to locate the cables and map their position directly on the surface of the concrete in a matter of minutes.
