The Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, Nebraska called on Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. to locate and map PT-Cables prior to coring concrete for the installation of a new CT scanner. The technician on site was able to scan the entire room that the equipment was to be installed in and mark the locations of every stressed tendon that was in the floor. The data was also put into a CAD drawing so the hospital could have the reference if the markings were mistakenly worn off of the floor. Post Tension Cable locating in Nebraska is a frequent service provided by GPRS, by using Ground Radar. This technology is often called concrete x-ray in Nebraska, but it does not emit any radiation and is perfectly safe to use in a hospital, office or higher education setting.
