Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of Albuquerque, New Mexico was recently contacted to perform a conduit locate in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. New security equipment was being installed in the entryway of the Bank of America Building and the owner was concerned about the presence of electrical and data conduits in and below the concrete. General Contractor Richardson & Richardson called GPRS of New Mexico.
Ground Penetrating Radar Technology (sometimes called concrete scanning or imaging) was used by the GPRS technician to locate multiple electrical conduits as well as a few data lines. The conduits that were found below the concrete were marked on the surface where the crossed the future saw cutting path.
