 Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Utah was recently asked to locate all re-bar and post-tension cables in an eight inch thick slab at the Marriot Hotel in Park City, UT. Interior Construction Specialists Inc. needed to drill half inch holes five inches deep every foot and knew that a non- destructive concrete x-ray was the quickest and easiest way to locate all the re-bar and PT cables. Concrete Scanning (GPR) was used in this case to perform the concrete x-ray in Park City.
The slab itself was one hundred and forty feet long and the GPRS technician was able to effectively mark where Interior Construction Specialists Inc. could and could not drill. GPRS of Salt Lake City is able to mobilize its technicians quickly and effortlessly to any location such as: Midvale, Boise, Ogden, Brigham City, Taylorsville and St. George, normally at the date and time requested at the initial point of contact. The technicians themselves are highly trained and well qualified for all re-bar and post tension cable finds within concrete slabs.
