GPRS locates unmarked
graves in Jonesboro, Georgia

concrete inspectionIn August of 2008, Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was hired by Bullseye Mapping of Atlanta, GA to assist in creating a map of grave locations at the Jonesboro City Cemetery. GPRS was requested to locate and verify marked and unmarked graves in the oldest 2 acres of the cemetery. While on site, Mitch Ross of Ground Penetrating Radar Systems scanned the 2 acres with a Ground Penetrating Radar and located close to 100 previously unmarked graves. This was an important part of the mapping process, because it ensures that these graves will not be disturbed in the future.

Mitch Ross runs GPRS operations in the Atlanta, Georgia area. He can be reached at (404)593-9227 or by email at mitch.ross@gp-radar.com. Ground Penetrating Radar scanning for the purpose of locating unmarked graves is a common service performed by the GPR technicians at GPRS.
