High-Rise Office Building Locating Conduits
in Kansas City, Missouri

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Kansas City was called to locate reinforcement and conduits within elevated slabs at a downtown Kansas City office building. Some mechanical equipment was being added which required additional power. In order to get the power to the mechanical room, new conduits had two be ran through two elevated slabs. The technician was able to lay out where reinforcing steel and conduits ran, giving the contractor options on where coring could take place.

GPR is a great tool to locate conduits and reinforcement within concrete slabs. It can save time and money in costly repairs as well as prevent injuries from live electrical lines. Non-destructive testing is a great way for facilities to find electrical line prior to any concrete coring or saw-cutting. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Kansas City can assist on any projects in Lawrence, Topeka, St. Joseph, and Columbia areas.
