Southeast Directional Drilling requested that Ground Penetrating Radar Systems return to
their jobsite and locate all underground utilities in the area that may be active, dead or abandoned after GPRS of Salt Lake City located all the voids in the area. Ground x-ray was used to give the precise depths of eight utilities one of which was abandoned. This subsurface imaging technology also helped to trace an oddly ran drainage line so that the drillers did not damage it during their task.
GPR technology begins transmitting data immediately therefore the technician is able
to interpret the data and lay out the survey so there are no expensive delays in work. This
technology also can give precise depth so the risk of damaging a utility line is reduced greatly.
GPRS Inc. of Salt Lake City can perform this type of survey in any part of Smithfield, Eagle
Mountain, Lehi and Saratoga Springs. Please contact GPRS Inc. of Salt Lake City with any
questions you may have at 801-599-2115 or tony.eich@gp-radar.com.
