When utilities needed to be located at the Gatorade Plant in Wytheville, VA they knew they needed to use Ground Penetrating Radar to get it done. The main concern was that while trenching they would not know exactly where the current utilities were. They knew that with Ground Penetrating Radar technology they would have the best chance of not having an accident on the job site. Ground Penetrating Radar can be used to locate all types of underground utilities and can provide an estimated depth to the top of the utility.
Regional Director Jamey Harmon was able to assist them in locating these items n the path of their trenching. GPRS, Inc was able to come to the sites and mark out all findings directly onto the surface with the depth in a matter of hours. With Ground Penetrating Radar we were able to locate approximately 3 lines including water and electrical directly in the path of their trenching. This allowed the crews to safely dig without worries of injuries or timely delays from an accident. If you need to find what is beneath the surface for your upcoming project in Virginia or Maryland contact Regional Director Jamey Harmon at 703-728-7333 or Jamey.harmon@gp-radar.com.
