Gas and Electrical Lines Located in Mesquite, Texas

Gas and Electrical Lines Located in Mesquite, Texas In June of 2011 Denali Construction Services of Dallas, Texas needed a high pressure gas line and the underground electrical lines located prior to trenching at a Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) facility in Mesquite, Texas.   They contacted Scott Clay of GPRS’ Dallas regional office to ask about identifying the location of the gas lines and electrical lines through the use of Ground Penetrating Radar technology.  They did not know exactly where the existing utilities were located, or how deep they were.  Scott was able to perform the work on a timely basis for Denali Construction Services and was able to plot the location of all of the underground utilities that were present, giving the facility the information they needed to proceed safely and minimizing the risk of an unexpected halt in production.

Scott Clay serves as regional director for Texas.  He can be reached at scott.clay@gp-radar.com, or by phone at 214-471-9001

Checking for underground utilities is a service that is performed routinely for the technicians at Ground Penetrating Radar Systems.  In conjunction with the GPR, our technicians also use Radio Detection equipment to assist in locating electrical conduits that are buried underground.
