GPR Survey Locating at Amtrak Station
in Chicago, Illinois

Conduct GPR SurveyWorking in conjunction with construction companies a GPR survey was conducted along a proposed trench area. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) was there to conduct the GPR survey to locate any unknown anomalies. The reason GPR surveys are used on areas like this is to locate any hazards, such as pipes, electrical lines, storage tanks or other anomalies that may be in the way of digging a trench.

GPRS of Chicago was able to conduct the scan and locate any anomalies present which included a buried electrical line cutting through the trench area. The construction company was able to safely dig around and not strike the electrical line. GPRS can help keep projects on schedule and safe by letting the clients know where problem areas may be.

Locating unknown anomalies and utilities is a common application for GPRS technicians. If you have any questions regarding the use of Ground Penetrating Radar for concrete scanning or underground imaging on your job site in Illinois or Northwest Indiana, please contact John Lause at
