GPRS of Utah Locates Underground Storage

One of the services that environmental companies use Ground Penetrating Radar Systems for is locating underground storage tanks (UST’s). Partner Engineering and Science contracted GPRS of Salt Lake City for this exact service in South Dakota. GPRS did not find any evidence of UST’s in the area but did map several utilities and product lines, which helped to keep the drillers on site safe.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems uses the latest geophysical surveying equipment, which detects changes in soil and concrete densities. This means that a trained GPRS technician can detect where excavation took place to remove UST’s.
