GPRS of Pennsylvania Locates
Utility Lines Below Concrete Slab

Utility Lines Below Concrete Slab LocatedLast month, Ground Penetrating Radar Systems were called into the Allegheny Ludlum Steel plant outside of Pittsburgh, PA.  In several areas the customer wanted to core drill through a slab on grade, but was concerned that conduits or other utility lines might be running within or directly below the slab.  The customer called us and we were able to mobilize and complete the work on the following business day.  GPR was used to clear each area to avoid severing any utility lines, with any findings clearly marked on the surface.  Additionally, radio detection was used to check for live power or communication lines running through the project areas.
