SWS First Response specializes in environmental soil remediation in and around electrical substations. With large transformers and electrical circuit breakers populating most substations there is an increasing concern for environmental hazards because of the oil contained in each piece of equipment. SWS has a thriving business using vacuum trucks to remove the contaminated soil and replace it with fresh clean soil. The first step in the process, however, is to determine the location of the underground electrical conduits and grounding wire. SWS frequently contacts GPRS to survey their areas with ground penetrating radar and map out all utilities that may be in the area. GPRS has successfully located utilities in over 30 different substations around central Florida. SWS has come to trust the reliability and accuracy provided by GPRS.
