In late July of 2011, Mitch Ross of GPRS was called to the Birmingham International Airport Birmingham, Alabama to locate utilities for the upcoming demolition and rebuilding of the C Terminal. GPRS was requested on this project due to the stringent safety and insurance requirements of the job site, as well as the tight schedule that it was requiring.
GPRS uses Ground Penetrating Radar along with Radiodetection to quickly and accurately locate utilities in construction areas. The non-destructive nature of the GPRS method allows projects to be completed with minimal disturbance to other work going on in the area.
Mitch Ross runs GPRS operations in the Southeastern United States. He can be reached at 704-501-7089 or Mitch.Ross@GP-Radar.com. Jeff Dehart runs GPRS operations in the Birmingham, Alabama area. He can be reached at
