GPRS Locates CMU Cells With Rebar and Grout at Blue Valley Middle School in Overland Park, KS

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Kansas City was called on to locate CMU cells with rebar and grout in them at Blue Valley Middle School in Overland Park, KS. A sliding door support beam was required to be mounted to the wall. In order to mount the beam to the wall embeds would need to be set in the CMU cells that contained both reinforcement and grout. The technician was able to accurately locate which cells contained the required reinforcement and grout allowing the contractor to install the desired embeds.

Kansas Concrete Scanning

Kansas X-Ray Scanning

GPR is a great tool to determine if CMU cells have been grouted or left hollow and locate any conduits and reinforcement within the wall. Non-destructive testing is a great way to avoid costly repairs and schedule delays that could be caused by destructive investigation or no investigation at all. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Kansas City can assist on any projects in Columbia, MO and Lawrence, Topeka, and Manhattan, KS.
