GPRS Concrete Imaging Technology
Locates Conduits in Concrete

Concrete Imaging TechnologyGround Penetrating Radar Systems of Salt Lake City was contracted to assist Jason Schaff Colorado division at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Junction Colorado. Design Mechanical was core drilling through the concrete to install new toilet fixtures and control rooms. Using the latest in concrete imaging technology GPRS was able to locate several conduits in the approximately 12” slab including a bundle of 480 volt lines. The old 10” slab had a freshly poured 2” slab on top of it which cause some interference; however, the experienced technicians at GPRS were able to navigate through this and still give a complete survey.

The concrete x-raying technology that GPRS uses can perform a number of other functions such as void detection, concrete deterioration mapping and utility locating. All of these functions can be performed without emitting any radiation or stopping work from continuing. GPRS Inc. can perform this type of survey in any part of Utah, Idaho, Montana and Colorado. Please contact GPRS Inc. of Salt Lake City with any questions you may have at 801-599-2115 or tony.eich@gp-radar.com.
