Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Salt Lake City recently visited the city of Springville to locate a water line that had been exposed in an area. Due to the recent water levels the service road had been flooded and partially washed away the graded road. City workers needed to know precisely how much cover was on top of the pipe to determine if it was necessary to re-grade the washed out area. The technician on site was able to locate the pipe and give a precise depth to the top of the pipe indicating the amount of cover on the pipe. This not only let the city workers know how much cover was on the pipe but where exactly they needed to re-grade and how much dirt they needed.
