Determining the Depth of Concrete Slabs
at Silo Openings in Menlo and Shell Rock, Iowa

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Kansas City assisted our GPRS Omaha office at two ethanol silo sites determining the depth of reinforcement at the tops of the silos. The technician was able to determine the depths of reinforcement and slab thickness at the location of interest.

GPR is a great tool to locate reinforcement and determine reinforcement depth within concrete slabs. Non-destructive testing is a great way for facilities to understand what is within the slab and determine the best way to approach their goal.
