In December of 2011, the services of Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was requested on-site to perform a concrete survey to locate conduits in a slab. The job site was at a hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The application for this job was to clear locations prior to core drilling for plumbing, electrical and for wall anchors into the slab. The contractor was told by the engineers that there was no conduits running in the slab but the general contractor wanted the concrete scanned to be safe. The results of the survey found that there were over 50 conduits in the concrete slab. Each conduit was mapped out and the core drillers were able to bore their holes safely. The technician on the job was Nate Stair.
