Conduit Mapping at the University of Florida Campus

conduit mapping companiesThis is a conduit mapping project with slab-on-grade concrete.  The general contractor planned to cut out a section of concrete outlined in orange paint to run new plumbing lines in an older dormitory on the University of Florida campus.  They contracted GPRS to come in and locate all conduits (live and dead conduits) prior to the saw cutting.  You can see the multiple white lines indicating dead conduits in or just below the concrete.  You can also see the red line indicating a live conduit running through the saw cut area.  If GPRS had not performed this survey at least 5-6 different conduits would have been severed.

This is another picture of the electrical conduit layout after GPRS finished their surveying on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, FL.

This pictures shows what one of the areas looked like after the concrete had been cut.  You can see one white paint line directly above a silver conduit.  The two conduits at the top of the picture were in a wall line at the time the survey was complete and therefore could not be located.

This is another area after the concrete had been cut and removed.  Again, in the bottom of the photo you can see the white line indicating the electrical conduit in the floor.  You can also see the exposed metal electrical conduit in the area of concrete that was cut and removed.

Here you can see two lines exposed after the concrete was cut and removed with white paint indicating it was located prior to the concrete cutting.  The line nearest the bottom of the pictures was a small water line that they were able to avoid hitting.  The other line is an electrical conduit running on a 45 degree angle across the cut area.
