Concrete X-Ray of Tank Lid in Roxborough, Colorado

GPRS X Ray Locating PT CablesGPRS Denver office completed a project in Roxborough, CO to map the location of Post Tensioning. The Electrical Contractor needed to core a hole in the concrete lid to install a new solar mixer and was concerned with striking the PT Cables in the lid. The tech on site was able to map the location of the stressed tendons and keep everyone involved safe during the concrete coring process.

Ground Penetrating Radar was a great tool in this case due to only one side of the tank being accessible at the time. GPR only needs access to one side of a concrete structure to perform the “imaging”.
