Concrete Scanning for Reinforcing Steel and Beam
at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas

Reinforcing Steel in ConcreteWade Vickers of GPRS-Oklahoma was called to the University of Arkansas during the reconstruction of the new kitchen in the Home Economics building to mark out any obstructions within the slab prior to core drilling. Wade Vickers was able to locate the grade beams and the reinforcing steel within the slab to ensure no obstructions were hit during drilling. Ground Penetrating Radar is a non-destructive and non-hazardous method of locating obstructions beneath the surface. Findings are shown in real-time data and can be marked directly on the surface to give customer an indication of what lies beneath the surface.
