Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Kansas City scanned the elevated concrete slab at the Moberly Regional Medical Center’s Psychiatric Unit in Moberly, MO. Core locations were scanned to avoid electrical conduits within the slab. The technician was able to map out the location of conduits running by the areas of concern. The technician was also able to inform the contractor that one core location was set to go through a concrete beam rather that the regular part of the slab which usually is to be avoided if possible.

GPR is a great tool to locate conduits and reinforcement within concrete slabs. It can save time and money in costly repairs as well as prevent injuries from live electrical lines. Non-destructive testing is a great way for facilities to find electrical lines prior to any concrete coring or saw-cutting. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Kansas City can assist on any projects in Columbia, Jefferson City, Joplin, and Springfield areas.
