Concrete Imaging with GPR Locates
Reinforcing and Utilities in Tooele, Utah

Concrete Imaging with GPRIn some cases projects are completed without the correct permits and plans that need to be on record leaving no one who knows if it was completed correctly. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Salt Lake City recently investigated a water fountain in Stansbury Park for New Concepts Construction. The technician on site was able to determine the thickness of the concrete, the type of reinforcing, any utilities running below the fountain and determine the presence of voids. The information provided by GPRS will help New Concepts Construction and the city of Tooele understand if this structure is up to code.

Nondestructive testing is a great way to collect information without any harm to the environment or bystanders because it doesn’t emit any radiation. Concrete imaging only needs access to one side of the concrete, so it great for those slab on grade jobs.
