Concrete Imaging at Consumers Energy

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Michigan recently completed concrete imaging at a job site in Armada, MI. Consumers Energy Company required the use of GPR to locate reinforcing steel in a concrete pier prior to drilling for anchors. From the first call by the contracting company, GPRS was able to mobilize and complete the work the following business day. Ground penetrating radar was used to accurately locate all of the rebar located within the concrete pier. GPRS was able to successfully locate the center of each bar and their depths. The location of the reinforcing steel was marked directly onto the concrete so results were immediate in the field. The anchors were all drilled in the concrete pier without a hitch and the project was a complete success.
