GPRS of Colorado was contacted by JE Dunn Construction of Denver to perform concrete imaging on the ground floor of the Colorado Tower to locate any conduits. The GC needed to have 4 trenching areas concrete scanned to check for any electrical, data or water lines prior to saw cutting the floor. The technician on site was able to locate two separate water lines as well as a live conduit. The real time gpr results were plotted on the surface following the ground penetrating radar scan to keep the saw blade from going anywhere near danger.
Concrete imaging in Denver is a great tool to locate sub surface conduits. GPR only needs access to one site of concrete. Radar Imaging in Colorado is also a great tool to locate reinforcement within concrete such as rebar, post tensioning, wire mesh, and pre tensioned steel.
