City Creek Locate in Salt Lake City, Utah

The new locating technology known as concrete imaging or GPR is typically used to locate re-bar, post tensioned cables and conduits in concrete; however, it is not limited to only these types of locates. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Salt Lake City recently was contracted to precisely locate the support beams running below the slab on the City Creek project in downtown Salt Lake City. This safety precaution keeps the concrete cutting team from damaging these support beams and preserves the integrity of the structure.

Locate Rebar

GPRS of Salt Lake City is being required by more and more facilities in Utah and across the country because of our ability to quickly and precisely locate any dangers below the surface of concrete or soil. Concrete imaging, unlike x-ray, is completely safe and does not emit any radiation or interfere with communications. GPR is also great for when you need immediate results and can’t afford to wait on x-ray film to develop. GPRS can provide this type of survey in Park City, Provo and Ogden.

For more information about the benefits of this type of non-destructive testing or for a custom specification please contact your local Ground Penetrating Radar Systems representative
