Nordstrom Department Store

Nordstrom Department stores were installing theft deterrent pedestals at there Paramus store in New Jersey and in White Planes New York.  Before the installation of the pedestals a concrete analysis needed to be preformed with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to ensure no conduits or other lines would be hit. There were several entrances where that pedestal placement were not pre determined.  To allow for flexibility for the installers we scanned the entire span of each. 

With the 1600MHz antenna coupled with the SIR3000 we were able to determine the rebar layout, concrete thickness, and conduits within the slab.  To confirm the findings as conduits we re-scanned area with the RD7000.  All the findings were marked out onto the surface for future review and our technician from Ground Penetrating Radar Systems explained the findings to facility managers.
